The Saudi Arabian Cabinet has denounced the recent attacks by Houthi forces on civilian and economic facilities in the cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran, labeling these actions as aggressive. The Cabinet emphasized the kingdom’s right to protect its sovereignty, as well as its citizens and residents, from such assaults. Additionally, they condemned the targeting of commercial vessels and threats to international maritime navigation in the Red Sea.
Reports indicate that more than 70 individuals, including women and children, sustained injuries from these strikes across various Saudi cities. The authorities have been instructed to ensure that the highest level of medical care is provided to those affected by the attacks.
During a meeting in Jeddah, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Cabinet also addressed the ongoing developments within the Palestinian territories. They emphasized Arab efforts aimed at curbing Israeli activities in Jerusalem and the expansion of settlements.
The Crown Prince shared updates with the ministers on his recent discussions with leaders from Egypt, Greece, and Oman, highlighting the importance of these diplomatic engagements. Furthermore, the Cabinet expressed approval of an agreement between the Saudi and German foreign ministries, which aims to establish a strategic dialogue for enhanced consultation and coordination between the two nations.
