This development was marked by a series of strategic meetings in Seoul attended by Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Al-Swaha and Communications, Space and Technology Commission Governor Haytham Al-Ohali. During these high-level talks, the Saudi delegation delved into enhancing digital government services, exploring cooperation in unified government platforms, and advancing digital identity systems. The role of AI in improving public services was also a focal point, with both nations considering tighter collaboration between Saudi Arabia’s Digital Government Authority and South Korea’s Ministry of the Interior.
Al-Swaha also engaged with the founder and CEO of APL Ventures, focusing on investment opportunities that could benefit Saudi startups. The discussions aimed at finding ways to broaden these startups’ reach in international markets and encouraging further technology investments within the Kingdom.
