Qatar and Guyana have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing their collaboration in agriculture and technology. This strategic agreement was formalized by Qatar’s Minister of Municipality, Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah, alongside Guyana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hugh Hilton Todd.
The MoU encompasses a range of cooperative efforts in the sectors of crops, livestock, and fisheries. It is designed to facilitate the exchange of expertise, training, and technical knowledge between the two nations. A key component of the agreement is the promotion of modern agricultural technologies, which are intended to bolster sustainable development, ensure food security, and strengthen supply chains.
This initiative reflects a broader objective shared by Qatar and Guyana to expand their bilateral cooperation. By creating new avenues for investment, particularly in agriculture and food-related industries, both countries aim to capitalize on the potential benefits of this partnership.
With this agreement, Qatar and Guyana are taking significant steps towards fostering a more robust and dynamic economic relationship, with a particular focus on addressing global challenges like food security and sustainable agricultural practices.
